Even a heavy, mid-concert downpour couldn’t dampen spirits at Thursday night’s Grandstand concert at the Iowa State Fair.

Thoughts of the impending school year were forgotten as a crowd of 4,613 kids and parents swayed to the sounds of Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Bleu. The only reminders of buses and backpacks were the “High School Musical” stars tearing up the stage.

Just a few numbers into Hudgens’ set, the darkening sky gave way to windy rain showers. The concert stopped midway, but the crowd kept going, shouting “Vanessa,” hoping she would come back onstage. A group of diehard fans weathered the chilly storm and huddled around the stage. Backup dancers entertained in the interim, and then, sure enough, she returned. Just like she sang: “Never Underestimate a Girl.”

The show went well even during the rain. Vanessa did not disappoint her fans. The audio of the video is a bit blurry at the end but it’s still awesome to watch. Vanessa is really, really great! If you have photos, send them over and we’ll be glad to post them in the gallery.

High School Musical cutie Vanessa Hudgens recently tested her on-and-off-screen boyfriend Zac Efron, reports Life & Style. Egged on by her gal pals to gauge her man’s loyalty, Vanessa, 19, sent “a really hot friend” to chat him up at the gym where he works out.

“He had no idea she was a friend of Vanessa’s,” says an insider involved in the scheme. “The hottie started talking to him, but Zac didn’t flirt back - and she’s gorgeous!”

Apparently Zac, 20, passed the test! Added the insider, “He’s only got eyes for Vanessa. And we had fun with the prank!”

On July 22, Vanessa was spotted treating her self with a facial at the Treats for the Face Salon in Sherman Oaks. She was simply dressed in a black top and a comfy pants but she still looks fabulous. Photos are in the gallery. Enjoy!
